The loss of navigational knowledge preserved in the grid structures of Micronesian stick charts provides the starting point to sketch the coordinates of a performative map of the world’s oceans based on hidden and concealed pacific aspects. A web that tells of the first circumnavigation of the world and plastic waste swirls, of ornithological etymologies and nuclear colonialism and illuminates connections between biscuit crumbs, concrete ruins and latest trends in swimwear.
